You could literally say that Leah Hanna King has music "in her blood"

As the youngest of 4 children born to William King (of The Commodores) and Shirley Hanna-King, a Grammy nominated songwriter, Leah grew up in a musical family. As a child, her taste in music was eclectic, she loved everything from Nat King Cole to Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman to Alanis Morrissette; but it wasn’t until Leah began writing her own music that her parents realized she had, indeed, inherited “the music gene”

When Leah was 9, she had the pleasure of singing for Kenny Rogers,  who was so impressed with her talent that he paid to put her in the studio and record 3 of her songs!

Though Leah chose not to pursue singing and song writing as a child, she is now 20, and is determined to follow through with what she was born to do... make music.
